Starting Out

Talk to Fred the Farmer, who is located North-West of Lumbridge, and tell him you want a quest. He'll tell you that he wants you to shear his sheep and bring back 20 balls of wool.

Shear the Sheep

Fred's sheep are in a paddock east of his house. To shear a sheep, left-click on the shears in your inventory, then left-click on a wooly sheep. If you don't yet have any sheers, you can buy some from the General Store to the south. Once you've sheared one, you will get a ball of wool. Keep shearing wooly sheep until you have 20 balls of wool.

Spin the Wool

Once you have the 20 balls of wool, head into Lumbridge Castle (to the south) and go up to the second floor where you will find a spinning wheel. Use one ball of wool on the wheel, select the "Make-X" option, and type in 20. After that, you will have 20 balls of wool. Take these back to Fred the Farmer.
