Prayer
From Runescape - Wiki on Neoseeker
Your prayer level will be slowly drained for as long as you have any prayers active. Several prayers can be stacked together, for example to boost your strength, attack and defence, but the drain-rates of those prayers will be combined, meaning you will lose prayer points quickly. You can pray at one of the many Altars scattered around RuneScape to fully restore your prayer points (the altar in the Monestary and the Nature Altar give you 2 extra prayer points), or drink either a Prayer Potion or Super Restore Potion (made using the herblore skill) to partially restore your prayer points.

Prayers
Bones
The most common way of training prayer is to bury bones. Most monsters throughout RuneScape drop a type of bone every time they are killed, and since burying is a one-step process, it's very easy to train prayer while killing monsters. Experience from most bones is quite low, so it takes quite a while to train if you just bury the bones of the monsters you kill.

|---|---|---|---|
| | Bones | 4.5 | Most small/average sized enemies in RuneScape, including men, women, goblins and spiders |

Long and Curved bones can be given to Bartak in Dorgesh-Kaan in exchange for 1k coins and (if your construction level is above 30) 1,500 construction experience. This reward is comparatively better than the 15 prayer experience you gain from burying the bones.
Ectofuntus
After partially completing the Ghosts Ahoy quest, you can use the Ectofuntus to receive four times as much prayer experience compared to just burying the bones. This training method is quite time consuming, but the advantage is not having to spend as much time or money gathering four times as many bones.
Player House Altars
Players with high enough Construction levels can build a Chapel in their house, and inside it place an altar and burners. When using bones on the best alter with the best burners lit, you will receive 3.5x as much experience as just burying bones.

Prayer Books
After completing the Horror from the Deep quest, you can choose one of three damaged prayer books from Jossik. Each book has four missing pages, which can be obtained as Treasure Trial rewards. Once you have placed all four pages into the book, it becomes either a Holy Book, Unholy Book or a Book of Balance which can be used to bless certain Prayer Symbols. Once you've completed one book, you can go back to Jossik to buy another.
Skillcape
Those who dedicate themselves enough to the Gods to reach level 99 prayer will be able to purchase a Prayer Skillcape from Brother Jerred in the Monastery. See the Achievement Cape page for more details.
